Gifts made in memory or in honour of someone special are a meaningful way to commemorate or celebrate a loved one, leaving a lasting legacy while supporting Schulich. Donations can be directed to a new or established fund, or to the School’s Highest Priorities Fund.

John Hunkin Scholarship in Leadership and Sustainability
In honour of John Hunkin CM (MBA ‘69, Hon LLD ‘04), this scholarship was established to commemorate his 21 years of service as Chair of the Dean’s Advisory Council at the Schulich School of Business. This award celebrates his legacy by supporting MBA students who demonstrate outstanding leadership potential and a commitment to sustainability.

Dezsö J. Horváth Tribute Fund
In honour of Dr. Dezsö J. Horváth, C.M’s remarkable 32 years of service as Dean of the Schulich School of Business, a special tribute fund has been established to support the Dezsö J. Horváth Visionary Leadership Award. Every gift to this tribute fund will recognize talented and deserving students.



Bill Graham (MBA ’86) Global Leadership Award
Bill Graham (MBA ’86) was a former President of the Schulich Global Alumni Network and contributed to the Schulich community for more than two decades.
In deep gratitude, alumni and friends established the Bill Graham (MBA ’86) Global Leadership Award at the Schulich School of Business. The award supports incoming students who have been admitted into a graduate program at the Schulich School of Business. Recipients will be emerging leaders who demonstrate a commitment to advancing international business by showing they understand the importance of environmental, social, and corporate governance standards necessary to improve the global business space for all.

About Rein >The Peterson Family Gold Medal & Scholarship in Entrepreneurial Studies honors the legacy of Rein Peterson, one of Schulich’s pioneering faculty members. Awarded to a graduating student in the Entrepreneurial & Family Business Studies concentration, the scholarship recognizes high academic achievement and entrepreneurial spirit. Rein’s contributions to business education and his work founding key initiatives, such as the MIT/York Enterprise Forum and the East/West Enterprise Exchange Program, continue to inspire.

The Joyce Zemans Scholarship Fund
About Joyce >Joyce Zemans served as director and co-director of Schulich’s MBA Program in Arts, Media & Entertainment Management for over 25 years.
The Joyce Zemans Award of Achievement benefits one or more MBA students specializing in AM&E at Schulich. Recipients demonstrate a dedication to the arts, media and cultural industries, and will be recognized for their achievements and leadership skills.

James Gillies Memorial Award
About James >Dr. James Gillies was the founding Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Studies – now the Schulich School of Business. His generous philanthropic support to the School established The James Gillies Award.
The award recognizes Master’s level students, enrolled in their second-year of the MBA, IMBA or MPA programs, who have achieved high academic standing and demonstrated significant contribution to the community or to the university.

William A. Dimma Memorial Initiative
About William >Dr. William A. Dimma, C.M., OOnt. (MBA ’69, Hon. LLD ’98) was a Professor and the fourth Dean of the Schulich School of Business, formerly known as the Faculty of Administrative Studies, since the School’s founding in 1965. As Dean from 1974 to 1976, he helped shape the School’s development and growth while contributing to its growing eminence in global management education.
