Schulich ARAs Recognize Alumni Leaders

< Back Image On Tuesday, March 6, 2018, Dean Dezsö J. Horváth, PhD, CM and the Schulich community celebrated the outstanding achievements of four distinguished Schulich graduates at the annual Alumni Recognition Awards. Jasper Cheung (MBA ’90) received the Outstanding Executive Leadership Award recognizing extraordinary achievement, leadership and innovation in a global operation. As the President of Amazon Japan, Cheung has greatly expanded the selection and convenient services it offers to customers. The Outstanding Progress and Achievement Award was given to S. Jane Rowe (MBA ’82), who has demonstrated outstanding career potential and achieved early success and recognition in her field. Rowe credited Schulich for instilling inclusion, diversity and equality into her leadership style. M. Marianne Harris (MBA/JD ’83) was the recipient of the Outstanding Public Contribution Award. She has played a significant role to public life as the Chair of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) by protecting investments made by Canadians. The final award recipient was Dominic Barton (Hon LLD ’12) who received the Outstanding Contribution to Schulich Award. As co-editor of Re-Imagining Capitalism published by Oxford University Press with Dean Dezsö Horváth and Professor Matthias Kipping, Barton has contributed to promoting the interests of Schulich through partnership, impact and thought leadership.
