Empowering Women, Building Leaders

Purpose
The Schulich Women Network (SWN) is an umbrella for initiatives at the Schulich School of Business that create a vibrant and supportive community for students and alumni to come together and discuss leadership, facilitate coaching and mentorship, and provide opportunities for networking experiences and community outreach.

Mission
The SWN mission is to empower and support female students and alumni at different stages of their academic and professional journeys, fostering connections between accomplished alumni and students to create opportunities for personal growth, career development, and leadership advancement.

Pillars of Success

The Schulich Women Network is built on three core pillars:

• Professional Development: Establishing professional development opportunities including a mentorship program that pairs current students and recent graduates with experienced alumnae in various industries. This program provides guidance, support, and career advice to help mentees navigate their professional journeys.
  
• Networking: Creating opportunities for members to connect, share experiences, and build professional relationships through events, workshops, and online platforms.
  
• Community: Fostering a sense of belonging and mutual support among members, encouraging collaboration and community outreach initiatives, such as scholarships.

Executive Committee
The SWN is guided by an esteemed Chair and a dedicated Advisory Council composed of highly supportive alumnae and industry leaders. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and insight, ensuring that the network remains impactful and relevant. The Advisory Council members are actively involved in planning and implementing events, supporting professional development opportunities, and developing network’s initiatives in collaboration with various groups, such as Women in Leadership, KS Women, Women in Business, and Forté Fellows.
